I feel like if we were to see Karlachs backstory, it would benefit more from being a standalone spin-off, not a DLC. Maybe something like Baldurs Gate 3: Karlach Chronicles.
Tbh most of these would be an insult to have as an dlc since there are (free!) mods that do these things perfectly well, and the stuff like avernus or more companions… why?
BG3 has a complete story with involved characters, imho it couldn’t naturally fit more locations or companions in, at most maybe a sort of prequel or sequel* to the story of the game, but I don’t think a “just for funsies” extra location like 2077s Dogtown would work
Edit: I thought a bit about this prequel/sequel thing a bit more and might clarify: I mean just a sort of pre- or postgame mission where you experience a bit of build-up / aftermath, not anything big
